Matagal narin akong di nakakapag update. Nabusy na ako sa career ko eh — bilang researcher. Doing such make me realize something. Dati I’ve used to be motivated with money. I dreamed of being a Medical Practitioner partly because I want to be it, and mostly because I want to gain money, fulfilling my luxuries, wants and promises of being rich.

For being almost six months of being a researcher — researching not because of academic requirement but because of my curiosity that my professors and classmates cannot and would not answer, I finally decided to become a PhD graduate. I want to become a real scientist. I think these curiosities and questions that keeps on disturbing my mind is something that a ‘scientist’ needs to ‘be a scientist’. I realize that I don’t salivate for blood and surgical operations, I thirst for the unknown.

Knowing that Science is in a crisis right now, maybe I can be a part of solving it. I dreamed of exchanging ideas with other scientists. Yes, it doesn’t make me rich, but it does make me happy.

I think I should start changing the direction of my plans.
